wāhkōtowin is defined in four levels of relations. wāhkōmisowin, wāhkōmitowin, wāhkōtamāwin and lastly wāhkōtowin
wāhkōmisowin is being related to self
wāhkōmitowin is being related to others
wāhkōtamāwin is being related to land
wāhkōtowin is being related to universe

wāhkōmisowin (being related to self) establishes the connection to spirit and the sacred tools provided to walk on this land as a spirit with a physical form and carrying the gift of life (pimātisiwin) in a good way, using three sacred gifts to achieve the balance of 'miyō pimōhtēwin'
wāhkōmisowin is preparation of being related to self in a good way, this is foundational to all levels of wāhkōtowin by learning about self using (mitēh, miyaw, and māmitonēyicikan) - these gifts together is the embodiment of iyinīwin (the physical living body), the three gifts help us walk on this land in 'miyō pimōhtēwin' significant journey on this land 'māmawi okāwīyimāw' or kikāwīyinaw askīy (more commonly known in most institutions)
, as nēhiyawak (Cree people)
the first gift is 'mitēh' - this is the embodiment of your feelings; and this is called 'mōsīhōwin'
the second gift is 'miyaw' - this is the physical body, the embodiment of your physicality and is called 'waskawīwin'
the third gift is 'māmitonēyicikan' - this is the mind, the embodiment of your thoughts and is called 'māmitonēyitamōwin' another term that can be used is 'itēyihtamōwin'
the fourth gift is 'acāhk' - this is the everlasting embodiment of your spirit and this is called 'acāhkowin'
the physicality of living in a good way 'miyō pimōhtēwin' is the balance of 'acāhkowin' and 'iyinīwin'
